Here are a few tips for when it comes to shopping for your dream dress.
When should I start looking for my wedding gown?
We recommend you should start looking between 18 months and 1 year before your wedding day.
This gives you plenty of time to think about your choice without feeling pressurised into making a decision.
Fashion in bridal changes very quickly, so you don't want to choose to early as you may change your mind. The last thing you want to be doing is buying another dress!
Who should I bring with me to my appointment?
With every guest you invite they with bring along their opinion!
Think carefully who you truly trust to help you make that big decision. Remember- Its YOUR dress and YOU need to LOVE IT.
With this in mind we allow only 3 guests per bride.
Please refrain from bringing young children as they can be very distracting for you, and can make the experience less enjoyable.
Do I need to bring anything special to my appointment?
Not really. If you already have your shoes or accessories feel free to bring these with you as you can try them on with your dress. You don't need to wear a bra with the dresses but you are welcome to keep it on if you are more comfortable doing so.
We recommend a light colour pair of knickers, as you may be able to see dark coloured ones through some of the fabrics.

We offer three types of appointment at Love & Lace.

At Love & Lace Bridal, you're not just a bride; you're our Very Important Bride, and we're committed to ensuring that your bridal experience is truly unforgettable.
V.I.B - Initial Consultation -
Available weekdays and Saturdays, Free.
This is a 90 minute bridal consultation for you and up to 3 guests. The deposit for initial appointment will refunded once the appointment has been attended. Please note - It can take up to 10 days for the deposit to be refunded.
Your experience -
- The exclusive use of our private bridal suite.
- You will receive advice from our friendly stylists, taking you through silhouettes, fabrics and accessories to complete your look.
The V.I.B - Lux Consultation -
Available Weekdays & Saturdays £25.
This is a 90 minute bridal consultation for you and up to 3 guests. If you purchase a dress during this initial appointment your booking fee will be redeemable against the purchase. (Not on a sale/off the peg dress).
Your experience -
- The exclusive use of our private bridal suite.
- You will receive advice from our friendly stylists, taking you through silhouettes, fabrics and accessories to complete your look.
- Refreshments and Nibbles for you and your guests.
'Off The Peg' appointment -
Available Weekdays ONLY - Free
This 1 hr appointment gives you and opportunity to view and try our ex sample and off the peg gowns.
- You will have exclusive use of the boutique for you and your 3 guests.
- You will receive advice from our friendly stylists, taking you through silhouettes, fabrics and accessories to complete your look.
* Cancellation policy * .
- Notice of cancellation must be given at least 48 Hr before ALL appointment times.
- Your payment card details will be required to book the Free appointment.
- If you fail to cancel your appointment with at least 48 hrs notice you will be charged £25 non cancellation fee.
- If you fail to cancel your appointment 48 Hrs before, you will not receive a refund for the Lux appointment charge of £25.
- If you purchase a dress during a LUX appointment your booking fee will be redeemable against the purchase of full price gown only.
Taking Photos
We suggest that you only take a photo of your final dress choice.

Private Appointments
All our brides are given a private appointment and will not be disturbed by other customers.
